(Shelby) Ray Peden of Longview, Texas passed away with his wife and family by his side on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 80 years of age.
Baptized into Christ in 1953 at the Green Street churh of Christ in Glasgow, Kentucky he later served as an elder of the Walnut Street church of Christ in Garland, Texas and the North Main church of Christ in Gladewater, Texas. At the time of his passing Ray faithfully worshipped with the saints that meet at Harley Ridge Chapel, Longview Texas. His service to God remains an example to us all.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Karen Peden. Their children Beverley Vess and her husband Dan of Grand Praire, Texas. Connie Jackson and her husband Riley of Lufkin, Texas. Kenny Peden and his wife Salinda of Longview, Texas. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who all were touched by his love and example.
