This summer, more than 250 children from across the country participated in Sacred Selections’ Kids Coast to Coast fundraiser, raising an incredible $52,000 to help other children find their way into loving Christian homes through adoption!

Kids Coast to Coast began with a simple idea from Hannah Jinks, a mom who wanted to help her children learn the joy of serving others and being intentional with their generosity. You can read more about Hannah’s inspiration and the beginnings of Kids Coast to Coast here.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, kids put their imaginations and talents to work, finding all kinds of ways to raise money. Some headed to the kitchen to make homemade jam, baked goods, or even freshly roasted coffee beans. Others got crafty, selling birdhouses, bookmarks, bracelets, earrings, and 3D-printed creations. There were even paintings made by some of our youngest participants!
A few young entrepreneurs organized lemonade and boba stands or participated in craft fairs, while others rolled up their sleeves to mow lawns, rake leaves, and babysit. Every project looked a little different, but they all shared the same purpose: kids helping kids.
And this wasn’t just happening in one neighborhood or even one state! From Florida to Alaska and plenty of states in between, children across the country joined in!
The $52,000 raised this summer will make a meaningful difference for families pursuing adoption, but there’s something else worth celebrating. Hundreds of children spent part of their summer learning that generosity doesn’t have to wait until they’re grown. They discovered that their time, talents, creativity, and willingness to work can be used to bless someone else.
That’s really the heart of Kids Coast to Coast. It’s not just about raising money. It’s about helping children see that they have something to give and that even their smallest efforts can be part of something much bigger.
We’re already looking forward to next summer and hope even more families will join in! Whether your kids have a big idea or just want to set up a lemonade stand in the driveway, there’s a place for them in Kids Coast to Coast.
To every child who participated this year: thank you! We can’t wait to see what you dream up next.
