Kathi Jo Anderson of Wentzville, MO, passed from this life on Thursday, January 30, 2020.
She was born December 19, 1954 in Abilene, TX to James Loyd Duncan and Billie Jo Walker. She graduated from Monterey High School in Lubbock, TX in 1973 and studied briefly at Texas Tech University. She married Clinton Howard Anderson in Lubbock, TX on March 29, 1975. She was a kitchen gadget collector extraordinaire and an extremely talented artist. She loved bright and beautiful colors and wielded them creatively through her work. Kathi was a loving wife, mother and Mimi who spent her life serving her family and friends. Most of all, Kathi devoted her life to the Lord. She was an active member of Westlake Church of Christ. As a faithful follower she loved being amongst her brethren, opening her heart and home. She was an excellent cook and loved to prepare and share meals.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Clinton Anderson of Wentzville, MO and children, James Anderson (and wife Rachel) of Madison, AL, and Jessica Royce (and husband Brian) of O’Fallon, MO. She also leaves in this life her beloved grandchildren Kylah Anderson, Koryn Anderson, and Corban Royce. She is also survived by her beloved step-father James Ward of Lubbock, TX, her close sisters Donna Justiss, Renee Smith (and husband Keith), and Jamie Duncan, all of Lubbock, and three step brothers, Keith Ward of Lubbock, Russ Ward (and wife Kay) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Lance Ward (and wife Jamie) of Lubbock.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, other family, and her Christian family.
The family suggests memorials to Sacred Selections, an organization Kathi passionately supported. The family will receive visitors from 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, February 3rd, and the funeral will be at 1 PM Tuesday, February 4th, both at Pittman Funeral Home, 1545 Wentzville Parkway, Wentzville, MO 63385. A graveside service will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in O’Fallon, MO where her body will be laid to rest.
