Joyce was born July 17, 1940 in Roswell NM.
She was the daughter of Floyd Wayne Deering and Amy Alice (Durham) Deering.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband Larry Newsom, her sister Dorothy Crouch, her children
Wayne Mims, Elaine Gwinn, Sherri Parsons, Kevin Mims, and 9 grandchildren who she loved dearly loved, along with all her great grandchildren.
Growing up she and her family lived in various locations in southeastern New Mexico.
She graduated from the Artesia High School and followed the path of bookkeeping for business accounting.
She worked in Roswell in that capacity a good portion of her life.
She was a member of Church Of Christ.
Her love for traveling was great and she has visited some of the most exotic places in the world, including all 50 states.
She especially enjoyed the RV lifestyle in her later years.
She will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.
She loved supporting Sacred Selections, and I know that she loved helping families.
