Edwin Bonnell of Box Trotter, Inc., was introduced to David Carrozza through the preacher at his local church in Central Florida.
Edwin’s family is acutely aware of the beauty that comes when your family is blessed by adoption. He shared that he and his wife are adoptive parents themselves, and he also adopted her children when they married. They are the aunt and uncle of children who joined their family through adoption and say that adoption is “in our hearts.”
Recalling a conversation with Dana Carrozza and how she poured out her heart to them, the Bonnells asked how they could help.
Box Trotter, Inc. is a business that was already committing part of its profit to kingdom work by supporting a brother in his personal evangelism within the prison system. As this was part of their family and business culture, it felt right and natural to Edwin & Deanna to match that giving as corporate sponsors for Sacred Selections and use their blessings to help children find loving homes. Edwin is concerned that Christians have neglected to serve vulnerable children and urges others to step forward and open their hearts and homes through adoption.
“That said, it is very expensive to adopt and we have brothers and sisters willing to step forward and open their homes. These families are in need to cover the financial aspect of adopting, so any of us who have the ability also have the responsibility to help.”
Box Trotter, Inc. has a contract with FedEx to deliver packages to their customers and say that any order through FedEx also indirectly supports their business, enabling them to continue giving generously. Additionally, the company runs flatbed trailers to help transport larger loads, so those with a large shipping need – especially across Florida and the Southeast – please keep their business in mind.
Reflecting on their ability to serve as Corporate Sponsors, Edwin says, “I’m thankful for the support of my lovely wife, Deanna. Without her it would be much harder to get everything done that I get to be able to do. Thank You for the opportunity to help just one child find a home that will teach them about the Good News of our Lord and Savior.”
