Administrative and Operational Costs

Corporate Sponsors

Administrative and operational costs for the foundation were initially covered by the board members, who also volunteered their time running and overseeing the foundation’s work.

Several years ago, the board realized funding the foundation this way wasn’t sustainable. And Corporate Sponsorships were created. Christian owned businesses are asked for their strategic financial support, to use their donations to cover our administrative-operational costs.

Corporate Sponsors sit on the Business Advisory Board on a rotating basis.

For the past several years, we have had several Christian owned businesses as Corporate Sponsors, fund our annual operating budget. Their generosity ensures that our general donations go entirely towards the costs of finding a home for a fatherless child.

As the complexity of this work expands, in scope and scale, we are now in need of additional revenue sources to continue this work.

We are looking for additional Christian business owned (or former owners) that can afford to support the operational costs of our mission annually between $3,000 to $5,000. If you’re interested in learning more and investing in the kingdom work, contact us.

Independent Oversight

Corporate/Business Donors-Sponsors also provide a level of independent oversight of how Sacred Selections operates. This is accomplished in a variety of ways.

Business Advisory Board

Up to twenty individuals that are Corporate Donors are also invited to serve 2-3 year terms on our Business Advisory Board (BAB). This board meets at least once each year and is presented with an annual “State of the Foundation” report including Financial Statements, Operating Budget and a statement from the foundation president (and Corporate Board) on the status and activities of this Adoption Mission work.

Financial Directive

The BAB doesn’t make or change foundation-corporate policy, but they do control a major aspect of our operating budget. If the BAB (members) see unwise business practices, un-Biblical stewardship practices or a drift from our core mission they can influence steps in a wrong direction by withholding their financial support. In essence the BAB provides independent-third party oversight on how Sacred Selections is run. The BAB provides assurance to our general donor constituents that we are doing “honorable things, in honorable ways, in the sight of God and man.”

Become a Corporate Sponsor

The discussions and communications we have with the Business Advisory Board members represent the best of two worlds: the business world and Kingdom work. We encourage you, as a Christian business owner to consider this opportunity to use your resources, your talents and your passion for serving others through the work of adoption and become one of our Corporate Donors.

A Biblical Precedent

There are many New Testament examples of individuals who supported the ministry and travels of Jesus, the apostles and the work of disciples that followed His way over time. Your support in this work of caring for the fatherless not only reflects a spirit of generosity but a gift of wisdom and insight. It represents an opportunity to put the blessings of prosperity together with the talents of business acumen (discernment) into the “Lord’s work” like we do for our own work.

482 Children & Counting

Since 2007, the adoption expenses for 482 children have been either fully or partially funded by Sacred Selections. Sacred Selections has helped to fund both domestic and international adoptions from 9 different countries, for couples living in 29 different states.
