Board of Directors
Married couples committed to caring to the fatherless.
Who comprises the board?
The Board of Directors for Sacred Selections is comprised of married couples, all members of the conservative church of Christ. All board members have in one form or another demonstrated a commitment and passion for work of “caring for the fatherless.” This commitment has been demonstrated in a variety of ways including financial support, hosting fundraising events, adoption, advocating for adoption, and serving to encourage others to participate in this ministry.
Sacred Selections Board Core Values
We are also anchored and inspired by two core principles: First that God has always commanded and expected His people to care for the fatherless. Second that the implementation of this work must be done with the highest levels of Biblical stewardship and integrity. As Paul said regarding his request for funds from the saints in Corinth to be delivered to the saints in Jerusalem, “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.” 2 Corinthians 8:21
Mission of the Board
We also appreciate and commend your interest in learning more about this work, giving consideration to participating in this work and contributing to its financial support. We have individually and collectively as members of this board come to see and understand that this ministry of caring for the fatherless is broader and deeper than just adoption per se. It is a tangible manifestation of God’s expressed care for the fatherless, through His people. It is a clear example of “kingdom work”, a strategy in “spiritual warfare”, and a powerful example of “personal evangelism”.
Lastly, we have over the past many years observed first hand that the work we all do individually becomes a powerful light shining in the world and reflects the nature of God and His people collectively. We believe more than ever Peter’s admonition to his first century audience, “Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may by your good works, which they observe, glorify God on the day of visitation…[continuing] “For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.” 1 Peter 2:12, 15.
Few things are more categorically good, recognizable as such by both people of faith and people in the world, than giving a home to a fatherless child.
Thank you for your time, the honor of your considerations toward these efforts and the trust in our administration of your generosity.
