Martha Godwin passed away on December 31, 2020 at the age of 91.
She was a faithful Christian with the saints in Awin, AL and later at the Prattmont Church of Christ in Prattville, AL until her frail condition kept her from services.
She was born and raised in Moundville, AL and earned a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Alabama in 1952. She taught in Cullman, AL for 3 years until Jesse Godwin, her husband of 64 years, arrived on the scene.Â
Together they raised a family of 5 children who are all faithful Christians. The legacy of a strong Christian woman continues to live on today in many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two of which are Sacred Selections babies.Â
