Emma Elise Babcock

Emma Elise Babcock, our precious, joy-filled girl, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on January 3, 2026, just weeks shy of her seventh birthday. Though her time here was heartbreakingly brief, Emma filled it completely. She lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a light that will never be extinguished.

Emma was the beloved daughter of Brian and Amanda, and from the very beginning she brought wonder, laughter, and overwhelming love into their lives. She was fiercely loved and she loved just as fiercely in return. Emma had a rare and beautiful gift: she made people feel chosen. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, Emma made you feel like you were her special person. She talked to everyone, noticed everyone, and greeted each person as if they were her favorite because, in her heart, they truly were.

She was known for her legendary, almost-dangerous hugs, her radiant smile, and her pure, contagious joy. Emma loved bright and beautiful things and delighted in everything girly: lip gloss, gum, painted nails, and especially purses. She carried her bags everywhere she went, filled with treasures only she could fully explain, just as she carried warmth, enthusiasm, and life wherever she went.

Most of all, Emma loved Jesus. She loved her Bible so much that she often carried more than one at a time. Her faith was simple, sincere, and full of trust. Emma lived without fear. She jumped into life with courage and confidence, as if she knew, deep down, that she was always held, always protected, and always safe.

Emma was brave, tough, and spirited. She had one speed, full speed ahead. She noticed beauty. She noticed people. She noticed hearts. Her life was marked by joy, connection, and an unmistakable sense that she was living exactly as she was created to live.

Emma is survived by her loving parents, Brian and Amanda; her devoted brothers, Carter and Dillon; her grandparents, Max and Lisa Busz, and Jon and Lea Anne Babcock; her great-grandparents, Bob and Dolores Busz, Doris Peters, Dorothy Babcock and Wilma Wallace, as well as her aunts, uncles and cousins; Brian and Jessica Busz (Sawyer, Brystol, Oliver, Reagan), Brent and Kayla Busz, JP and Chelsea Flores (Briella, Cali, Kaeson, Mila); along with extended family and countless friends whose lives were changed by knowing her.

While our hearts are shattered by her absence, we grieve with hope. We know that Emma is whole, joyful, and forever safe in the presence of Jesus. Her life was a gift. Her love leaves an imprint that will never fade. And her story will continue—pointing all of us to the goodness of God.
