Ron Eggert

Ronald Robert Eggert was born in Racine, Wisconsin on June 26, 1941.

He was the first born child of Robert and Frances (Dosemagen) Eggert. He died on January 6, 2021. He was 79 years old.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda (Schatzman) Eggert and two children: Scott (Melissa) Eggert and Shari (Thad) Wallin, all of Racine, WI; four grandchildren: Gabrielle, Brendon, Connor, and Nimue Eggert; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ruthanne Schatzman, Wayne (Marie) Schatzman, Terry (Anita) Schatzman, David Schatzman, Susie (Ben) Hoecherl, Debbie Schatzman, Pennie Schatzman, Diane (Hank) Turkowski, Steve Powell, and Paul Schatzman. Also surviving are nieces and nephews too many and too beloved to count, and friends and family too numerous to mention.

Ron served in the U.S. Navy on active duty and as a Reservist for 22 years. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer and was very proud of the service he gave to his country.

Ron worked for Massey-Fergeson / Agco Corp. for 52 years as a Technical Writer. He was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Wichita, KS where he served as a deacon.

He graduated from Friends University in 2008 at the age of 66. After retirement he was politically active in the Newton Community.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curtis Eggert; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Twyla Schatzman; and three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Eggert, Melissa Powell, and Bonnie Schatzman.

Due to COVID-19  celebration of life will be held at a later date in the summer.
